These are a few walks around the village of Hatfield Broad Oak in Essex.
They can be walked either way round.

These walks use public rights of way except for a few which use a private road between Broomshawbury and Crabbs Green, if you want to walk on private paths you should obtain the permission of the landowner.
1. Valley and Ryes Lane
This walk is from the Church Car Park down into the valley formed by Pincey brook and then up to the road past Hatfield Forest to Ryes Lane and back across farmland to the junction by Bleak House and Copperfields.

2. Valley to Doodle Gate
A walk up the valley to the forest road to walk past the Doddle Gate and return down the valley.

3. Valley, Greenhill, Taverners
A walk up the valley to Greenhill and returning via Taverners Green
About 4.25 miles
4. Benningtons and Woolards Ash
A walk from the Duke’s Head to Benningtons and Woollards Ash.
Be careful to pick up the footpath at Woolards Ash by transferring from the road to the field edge.

5. Woolards Ash and Broomshawbury
A walk from the Duke’s Head across the fields to Woolards Ash returning via Broomshawbury and Crabb’s Green
Please note that the path from Broomshawbury to Crabb’s Green is on private property.
About 3.7 miles
6. Broomshawbury, Poplars, Cammas Hall and Row Wood
A walk from the Duke’s Head to Broomshawbury returning via Poplars, Cammas Hall and Row Wood
Please note that the path from Crabb’s Green to Broomshawbury is on private land.
About 6.2 miles
This walk can be shortened either way round by following the road back to HBO once you get to Cammas Hall.
7. Pierce Williams, Lancasters, Hatfield Heath.
A walk across the fields to Pierce Williams and Lancasters going on past Friar’s Farm to Hatfield Heath. Returning along Pincey Brook.

8. Pincey Brook to Hatfield Heath and Rye’s Lane
A walk from the Dukes Head along Pincey Brook to Hatfield Heath returning via Rye’s Lane.
About 4.5 miles
